Safe Steps Care Services is launching its first residential — a 3-bed Ofsted/CQC-registered service based in Coulsdon, on the Surrey-South London border. We aim to provide both fixed-term and emergency placements for children/adults with social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH/EBD), including autism and trauma backgrounds. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead the home through setup, registration and beyond — with the opportunity to shape the service, build your own team, and influence the future of a growing organisation. Essential Requirements Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential care (or working towards)Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy in a care residential settingStrong knowledge of safeguarding, Ofsted/CQC compliance, and care planning Supporting independence with dignity and compassionExcellent leadership, communication, and organisational skillsEnhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain one) Desirable Experience working in hybrid/emergency placement settingsFamiliarity with South London and Surrey commissioning networksFull UK driving licence To Apply Please submit your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and vision for high-quality children’s care at the email address below.
