I am currently recruiting for Capital Accountant to work within a local authority based in London. The role will initially be for 6 months and will be paying up to £550 p/day. Main duties include:- Budget monitoring for the capital programmeSupporting budgets holders with managing all elements of their budgetsClosing capital accounts within set deadlinesAssisting in the year end closure of accountsOther responsibilities include completing Government returns, adhoc financial analysis and a range of other financial and accounting tasks as required The successful candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and excellent Excel skills . I am recruiting for one of my key Local Authority clients who are looking for an interim Capital Accounting Lead to join them by the end of this month, on a 6-9 month contract. The role will include supporting 2 members of staff, leading on all capital related disclosures and notes for closedown, alongside of inputting into the five-year capital strategy. You will be able to demonstrate that you have held this role before, completing the required year end deliverables relating to capital expenditure, funding and all other asset movements to the close down timetable, including all capital notes to the SoA. The role will also include producing the external audit working papers, implementing audit adjustments from the prior year and preparing PPA notes. Job Title: Capital Accountant Company: Leading Real Estate Company Location: London Job Type: Permanent, Hybrid (4 days in the office, 1 day working from home) Key Responsibilities: Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations in Yardi.Preparation and upload of the MT940 from bank institutions on a regular basis into Yardi.Preparation of an excel file for journal uploads for Inter-company transactions.Liaise with other teams within finance including but not limited to Management Accounts, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Personnel to ensure the timely and accurate updating of Yardi.Add new accounts in to Yardi and periodically review for completeness and populate additional data fields to assist with reporting.
