Description Key Responsibilities: Producing highly detailed and manufacturing drawings inline with BS8888 using Solidworks, whilst maintaining MRP systems and PDM, ensuring high levels of accuracy and dataDevelop and manage Bills of Materials (BOM)Define and apply appropriate Geometric, Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)Represent Engineering in meetings when required. Taking full responsibility for any Engineering commitments that have been agreedEnsure process and procedures are carried out across the whole team through internal auditsIntroducing and maintaining Engineering processes for technical drawings and validation.Working to project plans, autonomously or with the appropriate project lead.Ensuring continued communication and good relationships with external and internal customers.Liaise with and provide technical support to applications and production.Carrying out any other duties appropriate to this post, as necessary or as requested. As a 3D Designer you'll be responsible for generating engineering drawings suitable to manufacture lifesaving equipment. You'll be working with project managers, manufacturing and assembly areas in generating drawings fit for purpose and right first time + Generating engineering concise drawings from CAD models.+ Producing, modifying and updating 3D models, detail and assembly engineering drawings in-line with approved engineering change requests and fully document the changes using engineering change notices.+ Produce designs against requirements with consideration to cost, quality, schedule, risk, Design for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/DFA) & human factors+ Liaising directly with Production Engineering Department to ensure datum and tolerance schemes are aligned with Design, Manufacturing, and Inspection requirements.+ Use of Siemens NX and Teamcenter 11 for data control.
