Our client, are currently seeking an experienced Buyer to join their team on a 12-month contract for an onshore construction project in Kingston-Upon-Thames. This Buyer role will involve the preparation/negotiation of major packages for EPCI of onshore packages. Key Responsibilities: Preparation, evaluation, and negotiation of major subcontracts and purchase orders for EPCI of onshore construction projects.Reviewing variation order requests from suppliers and subcontractorsLiaising with department staff regarding purchasing requests and informing them on technical, commercial, and contractual developments related to the managed packages, including vendor feedback.Assisting with other departmental duties during the absence of departmental members.Ensuring activities comply with Government acts, statutory regulations, and company policies and procedures.
