Buyer - 12 Month FTC We are recruiting for a well-established company based in Basildon who are seeking a Buyer to join their team on a full-time basis for a 12-month FTC. The successful candidate will be supporting the purchasing team and reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager. This role is paying a competitive salary, and the working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Friday 8am-3:30pm. Who doesn't like an early finish every Friday?Duties will include: Speaking with suppliers and maintaining knowledge of the industry market to keep costing competitive and negotiating prices and delivery quotationsInvestigating data for multiple components and confirming the best purchasing optionsUsing an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all purchasing and quoting activitiesLiaising and supporting other departments within the business, such as Sales, Production and EngineeringReporting to the Purchasing Manager and providing ad hoc support when required To be successful for this role, you must have at least 3-5 years' experience in a similar position. You must have strong knowledge of using MRP systems as well as having excellent communication, organisational, and planning skills.
