Architect / Senior ArchitectLocation: Manchester, UKSector: High-End Residential, Commercial & Regeneration ProjectsType: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are seeking a talented and experienced Architect to join our Manchester-based studio, working across a portfolio of high-end residential, commercial, and large-scale regeneration projects. This is an opportunity for a design-focused and technically capable professional who can confidently lead teams, manage projects through all RIBA stages, and contribute strategically to the growth of the practice.The successful candidate will combine strong design sensibility with leadership, client-facing confidence, and excellent project delivery skills.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage architectural teams across multiple projectsOversee projects from concept design through to completionCoordinate consultants, contractors, and wider project stakeholdersDevelop innovative design solutions for complex residential, commercial, and regeneration schemesEnsure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest design standardsMentor junior team members and support staff developmentAttend and lead client meetings, presentations, and design workshopsPrepare and review planning, technical, and construction documentationEnsure compliance with UK Building Regulations and planning requirementsSupport business development opportunities and contribute to winning new workRequirementsARB registered Architect (RIBA chartered preferred)Significant post-qualification experience within the UKProven experience leading teams and delivering projects independentlyStrong portfolio demonstrating high-end residential, commercial, and/or regeneration workExcellent design, technical, and detailing skillsStrong knowledge of UK planning policy and building regulationsProficiency in Revit essential (BIM experience preferred)Strong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organisational and leadership abilitiesDesirable SkillsExperience managing large-scale mixed-use or regeneration schemesPrevious experience in a senior or associate-level roleKnowledge of sustainable design principles and retrofit strategiesExperience presenting to clients, councils, and planning authoritiesWhat We OfferOpportunity to work on prestigious and design-led projectsCollaborative and creative studio environmentCareer progression into senior leadership rolesCompetitive salary and benefits packageFlexible working opportunitiesOngoing professional development and supportDCS Recruitment and all associated companies are committed to creating a working environment where diversity is celebrated and everyone is treated fairly, regardless of gender, gender identity, disability, ethnic origin, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital or transgender status, age, or nationality
