Job Title: Building Fabric Technician/Handyperson Location: Southall Shifts: Days Salary: £29,000 per annum Metalis are working with a well established facilities management business who are looking to add to their team for a manufacturing site in Southall, for the position of a handyperson/building fabric technician. Job Duties: As a Handy Person you will perform effective hands on building services and equipment maintenance within the non-core facilities remit in a manner that upholds the quality of the operation, focusing on safety, output, cost effectiveness and the preservation and improvement of the site machinery and property within budget.Installation and maintenance of building fabric to include but not limited to carpentry, framework, brackets, furniture, pedestrian / vehicle barriers, signs, fences, painting and decorating, general repairs to pipe services, supports and related ancillary equipment providing steam, hot water, heating, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air, fabrication, welding, metal work and waste management services.Assist in the planning and implementation of the routine maintenance scheduleWork within the team to develop competence to continuously improve maintenance capability and effectiveness Job Specification: Have extensive experience of the installation and maintenance of building fabric to include but not limited to carpentry, framework, brackets, furniture, pedestrian / vehicle barriers, signs, fences, painting and decorating, general repairs to pipe services, supports and related ancillary equipment providing steam, hot water, heating, cooling, refrigeration, compressed air, fabrication, welding, metal work and waste management services.
