Job Title: Building SurveyorType: PermanentLocation: SwanseaSalary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week BRC are working closely with a well-established Housing Association based in Swansea to recruit an experienced Building Surveyor to join their property services team. This role involves managing a varied portfolio of housing stock, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and well maintained, while delivering high-quality surveying and contract management services.Duties:Carry out building surveys, inspections, and condition reports across residential propertiesManage day-to-day repairs, planned maintenance, and minor works projectsPrepare specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentationOversee contractors on site, monitoring performance, quality, and complianceEnsure all works meet current legislation, health & safety, and housing standardsDiagnose building defects and recommend appropriate remedial actionsManage budgets and ensure value for money is achievedLiaise with residents, internal teams, and external stakeholdersRequirements:Proven experience working as a Building Surveyor, ideally within social housing or local authorityRelevant qualification in Building Surveying or Construction (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent)Strong knowledge of building regulations, health & safety, and housing legislationExperience managing contractors and building works on siteFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicleExcellent communication and organisational skills For more information, please call Meg Smith on or .
