Building Surveyor / Maintenance Surveyor - Borehamwood (inner M25) - £55k + Bonus & Package We’re working with an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors based in Hertfordshire. Working within the leasehold management sector exclusively, they oversee a long held portfolio of blocks and estates across the inner M25 and just beyond, acting on behalf of developers, freeholders and resident management companies. As a result of demand, coupled with a wish to bring more work back in-house (for both fee income and quality control), they now seek to hire an additional Building Surveyor / Maintenance Surveyor for the delivery of major remedial work projects along with regular maintenance and professional building surveying services as follows: Degree or equivalent in Building SurveyingHousing / residential background desirable, particularly leasehold project works (under S20)Project management of major projects including remediation works.Preparation of Long-Term Maintenance Plans for sinking fund provisions.Preparation of building insurance reinstatement cost assessments.Condition surveys and defect diagnosis.Specification, tender preparation and contract administration on repair and maintenance projects (£20-250k typical value range)Understanding of H&S and CDM Regulations.Provide technical advice to clients. The Building Surveyor will provide professional Building Surveying services ensuring that public buildings, residential garages, including leisure, commercial, community and park buildings etc are compliant, and all assets are repaired and maintained in a good state of repair and are fit for purpose.
