We now have an opportunity for a Bricklayer to join us to provide a comprehensive Brick laying service to domestic and commercial properties. Responsibilities for this Bricklayer role are: Full bricklaying duties including identifying and rectifying defects in brickwork Taking down and rebuilding, or building new, brick block walls Cutting out brickwork Cleaning out the cavity and reinstating the brickwork Prepare and relay concrete footings and paths Re-point brickwork Renew bituminous damp proof courses Liaise with customers when arranging and carrying out work, having full regard to their needs and working from written and verbal instructions, including drawings, diagrams, sketches, calculations using measuring equipment What we are looking for in our ideal Bricklayer: Must have served a recognised Apprenticeship and qualification (NVQ L2/L3). Competent in all aspects of bricklaying and with experience of maintenance work on domestic and commercial properties, including high rise blocks for general repairs and refurbishments. A background of general brick work and be able to work in confined spaces.  A current driving licence is essential.  Skilled workers will hold a CSCS card, have asbestos awareness and their own tools. Our Client have an exciting opportunity for a Bricklayer to join their team carrying out external masonry repairs on a site in Wakefield. The Bricklayers role is a fulltime position offering £120 to £180 per day DOE and performance - self-employed positions are also available.
