Reporting to the Head of Marketing you will be supporting the marketing activity for the portfolio of the clients’ own brands and retailer activity focussing on: picture portal, focus on guides, core range guides, category learnings. Ensuring marketing activity and investment contribute to the commercial success of all own Brands – from internal communications, and trade marketing (depot activation, internal publications, events) to consumer activity (digital, press, etc.) Helping own brands to continue to grow, driving awareness and engagement. Responsibilities: Development and communication of own brand strategy and communications plan to deliver awareness and increased sales, updating plan based on performanceWork with trading and RDM teams to ensure own brand plans match agreed commercial objectives. (Increase sales / distribution)Liaison with members to ensure marketing plan is delivered, taking feedback for developmentManage the brands – supporting promotional activity, range development, marketing communication, and campaigns both printed and digitalAnalyse and track brand performance using consumer and shopper research data (Nielsen, Kantar, EPOS) to identify growth opportunities that drive penetration, distribution and trialBuild brand manuals and ensure compliance across the marketing mix, updating proposition as market demands (tastes, competition, etc)Management of relevant agencies to deliver the planManage own brand P&L/budget for marketing Skills and Qualifications: Brand management- experience of supporting on all elements of brand including strategy, brand plan development and executionMarketing ability – experience of managing multiple, complex communication channelsAbility to assess creative ideas and identify improvementsAbility to persuade and influenceProject and campaign managementBudget management and optimisation of spendAbility to manage and work effectively with agenciesAbility to manage a busy workload to a deadline Background Knowledge/Experience: Experience in an ABM role or similar, at least 3 years marketing experienceExperience in developing collateral for brand guidelinesExcellent insight and understanding of working with mixed audiences to deliver targeted marketing campaignsCreative communications (appreciation and understanding) Key Result Areas: Sales of own brands are increased by through creation of an effective communication planIncreased Sales/Distribution by matching commercial objectives with Own brand plansAdherence to brand manuals for all collateralGrowth opportunities and plans for the future in place
