What you'll be responsible for: Using the Trust Careflow Electronic Patient Record System and Endoscopy HICCs database to identify and book day case procedures for patients in line with Trust policies and procedures. This will include contacting patients by telephone or letter to inform of admission dates and relevant procedure information.Work independently and without direct supervision using own judgement of urgent matters.Supervise support staff, training and advising as necessary, ensuring work is prioritised correctly and all responsibilities met.Ensure procedure bookings are made in line with priority and waiting lists, ensuring patients do not breach Government/Trust waiting times. Identify any urgent requests or capacity issues within the department. Inform the Administration Manager of any potential breaches that cannot be resolved.Ensure patient adheres to relevant medical criteria for each procedure. You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust: An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation You'll have the following skills/experience: Excellent communication skills- both verbal and writtenMicrosoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and ExcelAbility to meet deadlines and work under pressurePrevious admin experiencePrevious NHS experienceNHS System Knowledge- Careflow, EPR and HICCS (desirable) This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years administration experience.
