Our client a boutique firm of accountants seek an experience book keeper who must have experience working a firm of accountants would suit an experienced book keeper working in a firm of accountants, ideally AAT level You will be working closely with partners and managers covering the following: Payroll completion of accounts completion of corporation tax returns completion of vat returns monthly/quarterly bookkeeping company secretarial. The above should be carried out in respect of jobs specifically allocated to you and those delegated by manager. manager in planning, controlling and reviewing jobs. manager in staff development and overall running of the department. ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL SKILLS Advanced knowledge of small businesses and current legislation. VAT - preparation of returns and general advice Payroll Management accounts - management, control and implementation of procedures Advanced knowledge of Company Secretarial procedures and application in practice communicate with all partners/managers and adapt to their management style. manage and motivate team members. manage a wide portfolio of assignments each with individual deadlines. overall job planning and control communicate with manager over staff issues and job status. overall training and development of staff in conjunction with manager Build on experience of Xero and other general accounting packages. Provide basic training to staff on packages including CCH, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks online, Excel, Word Implement procedures to facilitate processing.
