Bar Manager, required to join the management team of a hotel located in the Kent area. Transport will be required due to the shift work and location should you live in the local area, however Live in accommodation is available for this role. As Bar Manager, candidates require a background at a managerial / supervisory level. Experience of beverage service is required for this opportunity including the service of cocktails, champagne, plus service of food within your areas. As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for managing and ensuring the smooth running of the bar and lounge areas within the hotel, to ensure standards are maintained and excellent service given to clients. You will ensure systems and controls are followed and in place to maximise sales for your department. You will develop, motivate and manage a team, to ensure that high standards are consistently maintained. Candidates require a stable track record for this opportunity. Shift work is involved, working 5 days over a 7-day period and this includes working the busy week-ends on a rota basis. You will also need to be hands on. We are currently recruiting for a Bar Manager to work within a well established pub based in Leighton Buzzard. For this role, the successful candidate will need prior management experience within a bar, pub or the hospitality trade (ideally a minimum of two years). Please note, this a temporary role, however, it could lead to a permanent opportunity. Start date: ASAP. Hours: 40 hours a week, and the hours are to be determined upon interview. As the Bar Manager, you will be required to take responsibility for the financial success of the business. You will have a range of duties, including administrative, leadership and practical tasks. The main function is to ensure you serve and run the bar efficiently and that the customer has the best possible experience. Main duties and responsibilities will include, however, not limited to: Leading a small team of bar staff, while pitching in to help with serving customers.
