My client is seeking an experienced Automation Test Engineer to support the greenfield development of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, primarily implemented as microservices using Amazon Web Services (AWS) serverless technologies. You will support guiding their approach to test automation, supporting the selection of appropriate tools which integrate with their CI/CD pipelines and planning for their rollout. You will have responsibility for implementing these tools and developing/maintaining automated tests. The initial focus of automated testing will be the application’s responsive web UI (across device types) and back-end APIs. As the product matures, you will also contribute to performance testing. There may also be an opportunity to explore automated testing of Android and iOS mobile applications. You will work closely with the QA Lead to ensure that their automated testing approach is joined with their manual testing, and to build up extensive automated coverage across their product’s capabilities. In addition, you will collaborate with DevOps colleagues to integrate automated testing into their pipelines. As you will be expected to work with a team based in the UK and India, you will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be able to demonstrate a track record of working in product development projects.
