Auto ElectricianSalary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum + performance bonusWorking Hours:Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:30 OR 15:00–23:30Additional Requirements: 2 Saturdays per monthAbout the Role:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join our busy workshop in Barnet. This is an excellent opportunity for a technician with strong electrical diagnostic and repair experience to take on a key role within a dynamic team. As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems across a wide range of vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.Key Responsibilities: Diagnose faults in vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, sensors, control modules, and electronic components. Repair and maintain complex electrical and electronic systems across various makes and models. Install, repair, and configure vehicle electrical accessories and equipment. Use advanced diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot electrical issues. Work closely with mechanical technicians to support repairs requiring electrical expertise. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. Maintain accurate records of diagnostics, repairs, and parts used. Liaise with customers when required, providing clear explanations of work carried out. Assist the workshop manager with workflow when needed. Stay updated with the latest automotive electrical technologies and developments.Requirements: 4–5+ years of experience working as an Auto Electrician in a vehicle repair environment. Strong competency in diagnostics, electrical fault-finding, and advanced repairs. Experience with modern vehicle electronics, CANbus systems, ECUs, and EV/hybrid technology is highly beneficial. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to high standards. A valid UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
