Onsite Audio Visual Technical Engineering Manager
Role Overview: proAV are a leading global audio visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships globally. Our immediate requirement is for an experienced Technical Engineering Manager to be a key part of our London team, representing proAV and working onsite at a leading multinational professional services network. One of many openings available at proAV (who have over 500 team members globally), this position is based within our end user’s organisation who continue to invest in state-of-the-art technologies, services, and training. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional, experienced Technical Engineering Manager to join an established operation with scope to drive and enhance the service at every opportunity. Key Responsibilities: Work in parallel with onsite AV Manager at Canary Wharf on a day to day basis. Responsible for underpinning the AV service from a technical perspective in collaboration with Client DWP / IT Teams and relevant 3rd party / manufactures. Management of AV Software / firmware including but not limited to: Monthly reviews with manufacturesPresent quarterly updates to client stakeholders (including EOL dates & security patches)Manage change control via client protocolsOversee UK roll outs including scope of worksCoordinate works with all teamsMI reports post works Actively manage AV Assets & CMBD including but not limited to: Onboarding /offboarding of assetsAsset taggingTracking all configurable items (CI’s)Management of software / firmware versionsEOL datesSerial numbersWarranty datesManagement of system schematic updates as necessaryMaintaining data integrityUpdating of security passwords as required and in line with the client change control process.Actively monitor estate via remote support monitoring platforms.Provide level 3 technical support for incidents.Support engineers in remote locations as required.Liaise with proAV VNOC & manufactures to provide site specific information to facilitate diagnosis and repair.Attend meetings as required to scope out EOL & technical roadmaps with the client / proAV teams.Travel to client UK sites if required.Review PMV reports as and when completed and update CMBD.Assist with BAU in-house installations, including handover to client and project sign off.Manage and direct new site / project on boarding into Service.Administration necessary to support Technical Manager / engineering role. Oversee UK power downs including but not limited to: Coordination of resourcesResponsible for permits / RAM’sCoordination with regional offices / 3rd partiesDefining scope of worksMi reporting back to the client post worksManage UK critical spares.IT literate, understand network architecture and structured cable infrastructures.
