Job Title: Senior Associate Solicitor - Family LawLocation: Bury / Salford, Greater ManchesterSalary: Competitive (depending on experience)Overview:An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Associate Solicitor with strong Family Law experience to join a busy, well-established team in Greater Manchester. This role is ideal for a solicitor who is confident managing a complex and varied caseload, including both private and children law matters, and is looking to take the next step in their career with leadership and client-facing responsibilities.Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse family law caseload, including:Divorce and financial remedy proceedingsPrivate law children matters (residence, contact, relocation, etc.)Injunctions (non-molestation, occupation orders)Cohabitation disputes and property claims (including TOLATA matters)Draft pleadings, financial settlement documentation, orders, witness statements, and court forms.Attend client meetings, mediations, and court hearings; instruct counsel where necessary.Supervise and mentor junior fee earners and paralegals.Contribute to business development initiatives, networking, and client engagement.Travel locally between Bury and Salford offices, as well as to client meetings and court appointments. Candidate Requirements: Qualified solicitor with significant post-qualification experience in family law.Proven experience in divorce, financial remedy, private law children matters, and cohabitation disputes.Strong advocacy, negotiation, and client relationship skills.Ability to manage a busy caseload independently while providing guidance to junior team members.Proactive and commercially aware, with a willingness to contribute to business development.Knowledge of Legal Aid work is desirable, but not essential.
