What you'll be responsible for: Ensure that all appropriate policies, procedures and controls are adhered to.Operate Oracle based (E-Financials) Finance System effectively.Ensure that all Trust invoices, credit notes and debit notes are produced on a timely and accurate basis and that all supporting documentations are sufficient and authorised, and that these are invoiced to the relevant organisation with supporting documentation.Issue Service Level Agreement invoices and to ensure that these are paid in a timely mannerNotify the Senior Financial Accountant of any issues for cash flow purposes. You'll learn the following whilst working at the trust: An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation You'll have the following skills/experience: Excellent communication skills- both verbal and writtenMicrosoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and ExcelExperience of maintaining financial controls, processes and procedures.Experience of working to tight deadlines within a highly pressured change orientated environment and of managing change effectivelyExperience of working flexibly within a team.A basic understanding of NHS financial regime and general accounting terminology.An understanding the interaction between the various sections of finance, and between finance and other Trust departments.An understanding of financial systems, manual and computerised. This role may require you to show evidence NVQ3, AAT Intermediate or ECDL Advanced or 2 years relevant experience.
