Electrical Design Engineer

They are currently recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer to join their Project Department. The opportunity is open to both experienced professionals and junior applicants seeking to develop. This role will be to take responsibility for the Electrical Design and Controls Architecture for new projects. The Role: Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the role will involve conceptualisation, design and manufacture of bespoke systems. The role will be based out of the UK Office. This role will require the candidate to work autonomously and diligently, exhibiting leadership, therefore the candidate will be required to demonstrate an organised, motivated and driven attitude. The candidate will have an opportunity to develop their experience and the business, in a growing and competitive industry through a market leading organisation. The candidate will need to create Electrical drawings using Eplan Electric and contribute to the selection of hardware and components, whilst also contributing to the quote/concept phase and providing project engineering support. An applicable qualification/education, keen eye for detail, great work ethic and high aptitude is required. Industry experience of Automation and Robotics would be beneficial. Suitable for: Applications Engineer, Automation Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Systems Engineer, Robotic Engineer, Design Engineer, Project Engineer, Electrical Designer, Electronic Engineer Main Duties: · Perform development & conceptualisation of Robots and Automation Equipment. · Perform Electrical Design and generate Schematics using Eplan. · Specify and configure hardware solutions for projects. · Specify and configure safety architecture for projects. · Support outline functioning and control philosophy documentation for projects. · Support documentation and technical file compilation of projects. · Support system design and functional specification of bespoke automation. · Undertake machinery risk assessments. · Perform testing of manufactured systems. · Perform specification/source/supply of equipment/materials · Assist in the manufacture & assembly of automation systems. · Ensure projects are manufactured to standard and delivered to schedule/budget. · Contribute to the sales process of automated equipment. · Support customers/engineers with technical assistance. · Attend weekly meetings with the project teams. · Communicate effectively with employees and management. · Prepare weekly job analysis and project updates.
