Purpose of the Role As Financial Controller, you will oversee all accounting and finance activity across your remit, ensuring accurate reporting, robust governance, and compliance with group policies, accounting standards, and statutory requirements. You will act as the senior finance lead for the entities you manage, delivering clear, actionable financial information and insight to support strategic and operational decision-making. Key Responsibilities Financial Control & Reporting Full ownership of day-to-day accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General LedgerPreparation and delivery of monthly management accounts, board-level reporting, and financial statements in line with group deadlinesLeading budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing clear insight and constructive challengeEnsuring all financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with statutory and group requirements Cash, Risk & Compliance Management of cashflow, working capital, debt, and collections, including weekly and monthly cashflow forecastingOversight of banking relationships, lender covenant compliance, and external reporting obligationsResponsibility for tax and statutory reporting, supported by external advisorsMaintaining and continuously improving internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance Leadership & Stakeholder Management Acting as a key finance partner to senior stakeholders across the businessLeading, mentoring, and developing the finance team, ensuring clarity of roles, accountability, and performanceOwnership of the external audit process, managing auditors and advisors to ensure timely, issue-free deliveryManaging relationships with external company secretarial providers to ensure governance requirements are met Process Improvement & Projects Driving process improvements to accelerate reporting and improve quality, insight, and consistencyReviewing and enhancing finance systems, processes, and ways of working across international entitiesSupporting ad-hoc finance and strategic projects at both local and group level Experience & Qualifications ACA qualifiedProven experience in a Financial Controller or senior finance role within a multi-entity, international environmentStrong understanding of UK statutory reporting; international exposure beneficial but not essentialComfortable operating in fast-paced, multi-company and multi-currency organisations Personal Attributes Strong people leadership and delegation skillsHighly analytical with excellent problem-solving capabilityConfident communicator able to influence at senior levelsOrganised, resilient, and comfortable working to tight deadlinesCommercially minded with a pragmatic, hands-on approach Why Apply This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong, commercially minded finance professional to take full ownership of a Finance function across multiple international entities.
