Grafton Banks Finance are working with a well-respected commercial company with offices on the outskirts of Uckfield, East Sussex to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting into the Head of finance and working within a small friendly team your job is to provide financial support with a variety of accounting tasks, cash flow and management accountant reporting. You will be proactive, flexible, and adaptable to change. You will be happy to work in a fast-paced environment and be rewarded with on the job training.  Duties and Responsibilities will include: Reconciling customer accountsBanking and reconciliationsManage foreign currency accountsIntercompany loan accounts - reconciliation and postingsCredit card and petty cash reconciliation, allocation, and postingsChecking and processing journalsweekly and monthly payment runs.Processing and maintenance accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset register.Assisting with VAT returnsensuring all processes are up to date and correctly documentedmonth end management account preparation and first level reviewSupporting with the year-end file preparation The successful candidate will have at least 2 years practical working experience within Accountancy and Finance. You will have strong IT skills including Excel and Accounting Software alongside strong communication skills and analytical skills to be able to manipulate data. You will need to be a strong team player as well as working on own accord with excellent organisational skills and time management. On the job training is available.
