Description Key responsibilities for the Head of Marketing Analytics role will include: Take ownership of the Marketing Data strategy - Define and deliver the marketing intelligence and insight roadmap, ensuring data underpins marketing and commercial decision-making at every level.Enhance and enrich customer data - Lead data enrichment, acquisition, and quality improvement initiatives to strengthen the depth, accuracy, and usability of the customer database.Lead customer insight and analytics - Analyse customer behaviour, feedback, and churn to inform acquisition, retention, and lifecycle optimisation strategies.Enable data-led campaign activation - Create and manage high-quality, compliant data lists for outbound marketing campaigns, and email activity to drive lead generation and conversion.Deliver performance reporting and ROI insight - Build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks that provide clear visibility of campaign effectiveness, segment performance, and market trends.Leading and developing a high-performing team - Manage, coach, and grow a team of analysts and insight specialists, ensuring timely delivery of actionable intelligence at scale.Partner across the organisation - Collaborate closely with marketing, sales, operations, customer, and technology teams to translate insight into executable strategies and measurable outcomes. Profile A successful Head of Marketing Analytics candidate will have the below experience: Approximately 5+ years' experience in data and analytics, including experience supporting lead generation or demand creation activityProven leadership experience across marketing analytics, business intelligence, customer insight, and marketing operationsA background in working for a fast-paced, high growth organisation.Previous experience in a PE-backed SME company would be advantageous.Strong SQL skills, with the ability to interrogate and manipulate complex datasetsHands-on experience with BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Google Data StudioPractical knowledge of CRM and marketing automation platforms, these may include Salesforce, Dynamics, HubSpot. The Current Data Landscape We operate a Business Objects data warehouse receiving information from patient administration systems. It supports operational reporting and statutory submissions, but it does not yet integrate wider data sources such as incidents, workforce, or finance. We have data teams skilled in NHS datasets and Business Objects but less experienced in modern data engineering, pipelines, visualisation tools, and data governance. Other teams still rely heavily on Excel for business reporting. The organisation is growing at 10% per year and needs scalable, modern data capabilities to support strategic decision-making and customer insight. The Role As Head of Data & Analytics, you will lead our organisational data transformation while ensuring continuity of existing services. Your initial priority will be maintaining the current reporting service and meeting any operational or regulatory requirements. You will be supported by a third-party data supplier. Once stable, your focus will shift to shaping and advancing the organisation's data maturity - starting small, demonstrating value early, and building the case for larger investment. You will ensure teams have the right tools, whether that is a data fabric, new governance processes, or reusable data products. This role requires someone who can articulate an inspiring data future while delivering practical, incremental improvements.
