The role will be closely supported by an experienced Finance Director, who will play an active and hands-on role during the first 6 to 12 months to ensure a thorough and well-structured induction. As the Finance Manager becomes fully embedded within the organisation and confident in their remit, the Finance Director will transition to a more strategic and commercially focused role, working closely with the Board on high-level priorities, creating an excellent development pathway for the successful candidate. The key components of the role will include:Support the SLT to aid decision making and direction through financial analysisHiring, training and development of a small but highly performing finance teamProduction and presentation of management accountsAssisting with statutory accounts & returnsAnnual audit preparation including liaising with external AuditorsBudgeting, forecasting and cashflow analysisMaintaining & reconciliations of balance sheet, fixed assets and ledgersAssisting with VAT & taxation returns Overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control & payrollReviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systemsOn OfferThe position of Finance Manager is based in Midlothian, with good hybrid working options.
