Based in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, our international client seeks an experienced individual to join them as an Accounts Payable Accountant, on a permanent basis. This role is office based 4 days and at home 1 day so please make sure you are within a commutable distance. This job would suit an organised and detail-focused Accounts Payable professional to be responsible for managing the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring timely invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor management within a fast-paced finance environment. This global business is known for their dynamic culture and industry innovation, they continue to expand operations across the UK and beyond. The successful individual will have proven experience in accounts payable, with strong understanding of AP processes and used to dealing with large volumes of invoices. A finance-related degree is desirable, along with proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle or Dynamics 365, and strong Excel skills. Excellent communication, vendor management and problem-solving skills are essential. Job responsibilities: Review, code and enter invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policyMatch invoices to POs and receipts, resolving any discrepancies efficientlyPrepare and process electronic transfers and vendor paymentsManage and maintain vendor records including contact, payment and tax informationCommunicate with vendors to resolve payment issues and manage statementsReview and process employee expense reports via Concur, ensuring policy complianceReconcile the accounts payable ledger to the general ledger monthlySupport month-end and year-end close by preparing AP reports and documentationEnsure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and company proceduresSupport internal and external audit processes by providing required documentationRecommend and implement process improvements within the accounts payable functionAssist in drafting and updating AP policies and proceduresSupport wider finance initiatives and cross-functional projects as needed This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Payable Accountant, looking to work in a fast-moving global business, with the chance to contribute to a high-performing finance team.
