Accounts Payable Assistant
Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate payment of all CS, RJIS, and RJFI supplier and staff expenses, in line with company policies and procedures. You will also support cross-training initiatives to ensure seamless operations across all three business units. Key Responsibilities: Finance Operations Process supplier purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices, ensuring timely approvals and payments.Set up and maintain supplier standing data.Organise and arrange payments in accordance with invoice credit terms.Manage staff Amex and expense claims across RJIS and RJFI, ensuring compliance with policy.Collaborate with the CS AP team to ensure cross-training and operational coverage.Allocate general ledger codes and reconcile transactions in the firm’s general ledger.Reconcile bank accounts with the Finance GL to maintain financial control.Respond to queries related to accounts receivable and payable.Support the rollout and ongoing use of the P2P system.Assist with ad hoc tasks as directed by the CFO, Financial Controller, or Commissions & Billing Manager.Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and continuously seek process improvements.Ensure all procedures are documented and followed, escalating material issues as needed. Skills & Experience: Essential: Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel.Experience with CODA financial systems.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.Strong team player with a proactive attitude. Desirable: Experience in the UK Financial Services industry.Familiarity with large data volumes and financial reconciliations.
