Accounts Assistant
Our client, based in South Cambridge, is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will be responsible for the creation of Sales Invoices on SAGE 200, including inputting data into relevant business systems (such as SAGE 200 and the Facilities Management database). Other responsibilities include monthly reconciliation of the cashbook, including daily postings along with payment run creation and assisting with cashflow forecasting. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to become an integral member of a small but friendly team. Responsibilities will include: Creation of sales invoices on Sage 200Check accuracy of data used to create invoicesAdministration of the property lease scheduleReconcile and invoice monthly and quarterly rent and service chargesRegular credit control involving contacting customers for payment, dealing with invoice queries in a fast and professional mannerMonthly cashbook reconciliationsDaily bank transaction processingPayment run creationCashflow forecastingMonthly sales reportingMonthly debtors reportingSupporting Accounts Payable and assisting the wider finance team with tasks when required. Candidates will need to have the following skills and experience to be suitable for this role: English and Maths GCSE Grade C or above (or equivalent)AAT Level 2 or abovePrevious experience in an Accounts Assistant role is desirable with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable, including aged debtor managementExperience using SAGE 200 Previous experience of using a Facilities Management database is desirableStrong IT skills including intermediate ExcelExcellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with financial and non-financial staff at all levelMust be driven, inquisitive and capable of working to deadlinesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent accuracy and attention to detailAbility to methodically solve routine problemsMotivated, eager to learn, and able to manage a varied workload.
