The Permanent Division of Robert Half is currently recruiting for an Accountant on behalf of a Firm of Accountants based in Hertford.The RoleAs Accountant you will work with a growing firm primarily to assist with outsourced accounting duties for owner managed businesses and larger groups covering tasks such as Book-Keeping, MTD, VAT returns and outsourced Payroll. Day to day duties will consist of:Managing workflow to meet deadlinesAccurate recording of all financial transactions through ledger postings, nominal journals, bank reconciliations etcProcessing client records to software including Sage, QuickBooks & XeroPayroll cover to assist the full time payroll clerkPayroll processing when required using Employment HeroCalculate & make adjustments for depreciation, prepayments, accruals & tax provisionFile VAT and MTD returns with HMRC & within accounting dataYour ProfileYou will be an AAT Qualified or QBE Accountant with SME Accounting experience and ideally having worked in a firm of accountants specifically looking after outsourced accounts. You will be interpersonally effective with the ability to deal with clients directly.
