I am pleased to be working with this regional leading Accountancy firm to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant. They see this position as a key role within their business and there will be lots of scope for you to further develop in the role. You will have the responsibility for all aspects of your portfolio of clients, monitoring quality of work across the division, delivery of exceptional client service, development of the team and creating an inclusive supportive environment, as well as the opportunity to be involved in business development activities. Key Responsibilities include: Management of an appropriately sized portfolio of clients reporting directly to Partner/Manager, with a focus on delivering great client service.Preparation of the accounts, business and personal tax computations and tax returns, in line with regulatory and internal requirements.Overseeing others in the preparation of accounts, providing training where required and assisting with their development & involved in reviewing accounting and tax work of others.Managing workload and client expectations.Working within budgets and timeframes set.Maintain up-to-date understanding of client’s business and a good working relationship with clients, to be well placed to offer advice and additional services.Develop understanding of your client base and consider the benefit of digital solutions and advise with tax planning on legislative changes.Active involvement in marketing events, when appropriate, acting as an 'ambassador’ of the firm. The successful candidate will be: ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent.Knowledgeable in current accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.Proficient in using accounting software including digital cloud accounting packages.Exceptional in analytical and problem-solving, with an eye for detail.An excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
