They see this position as a key role within their business and there will be lots of scope for you to further develop in the role. You will have the responsibility for all aspects of your portfolio of clients, monitoring quality of work across the division, delivery of exceptional client service, development of the team and creating an inclusive supportive environment, as well as the opportunity to be involved in business development activities. Key Responsibilities include: Management of an appropriately sized portfolio of clients reporting directly to Partner/Manager, with a focus on delivering great client service.Preparation of the accounts, business and personal tax computations and tax returns, in line with regulatory and internal requirements.Overseeing others in the preparation of accounts, providing training where required and assisting with their development & involved in reviewing accounting and tax work of others.Managing workload and client expectations.Working within budgets and timeframes set.Maintain up-to-date understanding of client’s business and a good working relationship with clients, to be well placed to offer advice and additional services.Develop understanding of your client base and consider the benefit of digital solutions and advise with tax planning on legislative changes.Active involvement in marketing events, when appropriate, acting as an 'ambassador’ of the firm. The successful candidate will be: ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent.Knowledgeable in current accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards.Proficient in using accounting software including digital cloud accounting packages.Exceptional in analytical and problem-solving, with an eye for detail.An excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with clients and team members. Your new companyWe are pleased to be supporting a Norfolk-based charity who are looking for an ambitious Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant to take the charity to their next phase of growth as they support the local community. You will play a pivotal role, between operations and the financial decision-making, in ensuring adequate resources are available to deliver services.Your new roleIn this newly created Management Accountant job, you will be responsible for producing monthly management accounts and working closely with budget-holders and project managers to agree budgets and investigate any actual spend vs budget variances, key performance indicators, as well as identify trends, cost drivers and reviewing internal processes to improve overall financial reporting for the charity. You will also partner with 3rd party supporting organisations in assessing the financial impacts of contracts, including existing services and evaluating the viability of these new initiatives which are aligned to the charities' strategic plans,As a Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant, you take responsibility for all financial compliance and regulated guidelines as well as providing clear financial reports / statements for the Senior Management Team and Trustees. This will also involve monitoring restricted and unrestricted funds, grants and donations to ensure income is correctly posted.What you'll need to succeedYou will be a Part-Qualified or Qualified Accountant, ideally with a charity background or, NHS, due to the nature of their services, but this is not essential, but proven experience in management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, project accounting will be essential. You will be confident with accounting systems, intermediate Excel and able to review internal processes.
