Account Executive
A leading UK insurance brokerage is seeking an Account Executive to join their commercial team. This is a high-impact role focused on driving new business, managing client accounts, and developing introducer and affinity relationships. The successful candidate will work autonomously, managing both self-generated leads and company-provided opportunities, with clear scope to influence earnings and career progression.Key Responsibilities:New Business DevelopmentGenerate and develop leads to build a strong pipeline of new business opportunitiesAchieve and exceed agreed targets for quotes, sales, and revenueAttend client meetings and networking events to promote services and build relationshipsDevelop and maintain strong relationships with introducers and affinity partnersClient Relationship ManagementUnderstand clients’ operations, risk management strategies, and insurance needsPresent tailored insurance and risk management solutions to secure new businessProvide high levels of professional service and support to all clientsAccount & Commercial DevelopmentManage client accounts, supporting contract renewals and service reviewsIdentify opportunities for additional services, increased volumes, or operational efficienciesMaintain accurate account records, documentation, and CRM entriesCompliance & Professional DevelopmentEnsure full compliance with FCA regulations, GDPR, and internal policiesMaintain technical competence and professional qualifications (minimum Cert CII or achieved within 18 months)Stay up to date with insurance products, service standards, and industry trendsCandidate Profile:EssentialMinimum 2 years’ experience in insurance sales, business development, or lead generationProven track record of generating new business and managing client relationshipsCert CII qualified (or willingness to achieve within 18 months)Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skillsCommercially focused, target-driven, and resilientConfident working independently while collaborating with internal teamsDesirableBroad working knowledge of General Insurance productsExperience working with introducers, affinities, or referral partnersStrong technical understanding of insurance and risk management solutionsFamiliarity with regulated, FCA-authorised environmentsWhat’s on Offer:Competitive salary: £35,000 – £80,000 DOEOTE: £100,000+ with clear opportunity for uncapped earningsAutonomy to manage your own pipeline and client portfolioSupportive, high-performing team and reputable brandProfessional development and CPD support to further your careerThis is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of new business growth, nurture long-term client relationships, and make a tangible impact within a respected insurance brokerage.To Apply: Contact David or Max at Greys Specialist Recruitment
