Forde Recruitment are proud to be working on behalf of our client in Sheffield in their search a Workshop Technician (Electrical/Power Tools) to join a small team, servicing and repairing a range of industrial electrical, air and high frequency tools to a high standard.

This workshop-based role you will be working at an allocated bench repairing and fault testing power tools such as angle grinders, drills etc.

Location: Sheffield

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00

Job responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)

  • Visually inspect and test tools and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and identify malfunctioning or inoperative parts, disassemble defective tools and equipment, and install new or repaired parts.
  • Conduct PAT and vibration testing when required in line with customer requirements.
  • Order spare parts as required from suppliers.
  • Maintain record systems.
  • Maintain stock levels

Requirements

  • Applicants MUST have an understanding of electrical tools and equipment. An electrical background essential as candidate will be working with high voltage tools.
  • Applicants must be comfortable using computer software (excel/word), must have the ability to work in a small team, and be comfortable with customer service.
  • This role would suit a Workshop Technician or similar with a background in repairing power tools, that is looking for a stable, local role that enables a healthy work-life balance.
  • Full training provided.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
