Workshop Foreman

Workshop Foreman required. My client is well established in the supply, maintenance and installation of diesel generators and UPS across the UK. They are looking to bring on board an enthusiastic individual to oversee their workshop in Hampshire. The successful candidate will come from a Foreman / team leader background and have first-hand knowledge and understanding of Diesel Generators. Experienced generator engineers looking for management positions also considered.

You must also be based within commutable distance of Exton, Hampshire and have a Driving Licence.

Workshop Foreman Position Overview

• Overseeing day to day running of the workshop.
• 50/50 management and hands on duties
• Assist customers with equipment issues and concerns
• Ordering parts
• Liaise with company sales team and operational management.
• Work closely with the depot manager to respond to problems.
• Organising workload for Service Engineers
• Keep a record of all maintenance reports on site.
• Implement Health & Safety standards.
• Make sure all equipment that is being prepared for purchase is to company standard.
• Ensure all employees adhere to RAMS
• Travelling to local sites to carry out servicing and repairs

Workshop Foreman Position Requirements

• Previous Team Leader experience ideal, but experienced engineers looking to do less travel also considered
• Previous experience dealing with Diesel Generators or other industrial diesel machinery
• Experienced overseeing a maintenance / manufacturing team
• Familiar with RAMS and Health and Safety standards
• Full Driving licence
• Based within a commutable distance of Exton, Hampshire.

Workshop Foreman Position Remuneration

• Salary £35,000 - £40,000 DOE
• Overtime available
• 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
• Company van
• Hours Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00
• 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
• Pension
