Position: Plant Fitter (Workshop)

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 + Overtime + Bonus

Location: Swansea

Monday – Friday

Interaction Recruitment is working with a national plant hire company with sites all over the UK. With multiple workshop opportunities available your next move is just around the corner. Due to an expansion in the business this company is looking to expand its workforce in their field workshop.

If you are mechanically minded or have experience within a relevant field this is the position for you

The Position:

  • To diagnose faults and repair/maintain a variety of plant equipment including compressors, mini- excavators, dumpers, small tools etc
  • Check and tag all equipment and update service records
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of products and full range of accessories
  • Completion of all test certificates and associated paperwork
  • Abide by customer Health & Safety rules when on site
  • Keep workshop organised, clean and tidy and assist with general workshop duties as and when required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as deemed necessary by the Foreman or General Manager

The Candidate:

  • Worked in a similar workshop/field-based environment
  • A relevant mechanical/electrical qualification
  • A solid knowledge and understanding of plant equipment or mechanically minded
  • A strong eye for detail
