Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch ) are recruiting for a site installation working foreman for our established client that supply and installs air domes. The working foreman will go out with the installation team and install the air domes over Football grounds, Swimming pools, Military Installations, Outside exhibitions, and Outside seasonal attractions etc.

 

The Opportunity...

• This is an important site-based role with the focus being to lead a small team to undertake a variety of work on new installations, maintenance, repairs and seasonal dismantles/re-inflations of our air domes throughout the year.
• Candidates with installation experience in a construction environment are preferred although no previous air dome experience is required as full training will be given on our unique product.
• The position is full time, permanent and mainly based outdoors on sites around the country.
• The start time is between 6-9am in Redhill depending on the job, and a company vehicle will be available to drive to get the team to each site.

About the job...

• Undertake on-the-job training to fully understand the components and installation procedures of our air domes

• Undertake manual work outdoors, all day at various sports clubs around the country

• Ultimately lead and develop a small team of usually 3 or 4 people to complete the required work on the air domes

• Liaise with the client’s representative on site and ensure all health and safety procedures are followed on site

• Report to the Operations Manager and Project Manager

• Prepare the tools and equipment required for the work each day

• Drive a company vehicle to and from each site

• Communicate with the supporting office staff regarding site progress, future schedule and any issues

• Ensure quality control and complete basic reports for each site

• Achieve sign off from the client before leaving the site

• Engage in on-site problem solving an provide technical support as required

About you...

• Hands on/on the tools construction supervision experience
• Driving license and based within a reasonable commuting distance of Redhill
• Willing to work outdoors and be physically active all day
• Able to stay overnight around the country as required (approximately 20% of the time)
• Ability to problem solve and use initiative to find solutions
• Interest in engineering and sport an advantage as the majority of our customers are sports clubs
