Our European HQ is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire and we are responsible for the UK Europe, Middle East and African markets.

An opportunity has arisen within our business for an experienced Warehouse Team Lead. The position reports into the Director of Operations and the successful applicant will work closely with our internal sales and purchasing teams.

As the Warehouse Team Lead you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work and maximising productivity within the warehouse. You will be responsible for the supervision of Warehouse Operatives who will look to you for guidance. You must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated with a flexible can-do attitude. This is a hands-on role in a sometimes-challenging environment where excellent communication skills together with a can-do attitude are required to succeed.

Due to the nature of the role the ideal candidate will have a good level of fitness to enable them to carry out their work safely with or without reasonable accommodation.

The picking, packing and despatch of our products requires manual handling of items weighing up to 25kg. Manual handling in the context of this role includes bending, lifting, lowering, stooping, reaching, stretching and stepping.

Key Tasks

  • Assist with the planning and control of warehouse operations.
  • Be the first point of contact for warehouse staff.
  • Assist with organising, picking and despatch of all customer orders.
  • Liaise with transport companies to ensure collections and deliveries conform to customer requirements.
  • Record all stock movements via the computer system.
  • Work with management to ensure service levels are maintained.
  • Assist with keeping and maintaining all warehouse documentation.
  • Assist with the organisation and implementation of cycle counts.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and orderly warehouse.
  • To ensure maintenance of warehouse machinery
  • To comply with the company’s health and safety policies

Skills & Attributes Required

  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to a maximum of 25kg and perform physical tasks throughout the day
  • Flexi truck licence (is a distinct advantage but not essential)
  • Experience using an ERP system.
  • Stock management
  • Full driving licence

Required Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in Warehouse supervision
  • A working knowledge of health & Safety requirements
  • Valid driving licence

Qualifications

  • IT Skills, plus Math & English - minimum GCSE grade C (or equivalent)
