Salary: £37-45k

My Client is a major player in the skincare / beauty industry offering a popular range of premium products to prestigious retail clients and direct to consumers, therefore preference will be given to Candidates who can demonstrate both B2B and B2C experience. Their Head Office and two warehouses are based in Redhill, Surrey; this role will be office based and will not offer hybrid or home-working, please only apply if you are available to work on-site in Redhill on a full-time basis.

Role Overview:

Responsibility for leading and managing the Warehouse teams across two local sites/ warehouses. The individual will work collaboratively across the organisation (with, for example, the Commercial, Logistics and Finance teams) utilising effective ('tried and tested’) processes, systems and data to manage an effective warehouse 'pick and pack’, production/ stock control team ensuring effective warehouse operational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all processes which support the effectiveness of the warehouse operations teams
  • Responsibility for all people, process and resource management across both warehouse sites
  • As a member of the senior team, ensure that the warehouse teams and function contribute positively to the aims and objectives (and success) of the wider business
  • Maintain detailed production/ demand plans - which will be available to relevant stakeholders across the business - in order to ensure an efficient and effective warehouse (including picking and packing) function
  • Creating and maintaining shift, daily, weekly, monthly production schedules as agreed with Logistics as well as relevant the individuals within the Warehouse teams
  • Using data as the driver for decisions taken, determine manpower requirements and liaise with colleagues across the business to ensure needs are communicated effectively and delivered effectively
  • Create and maintain accurate reporting which clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the in-house warehouse teams
  • Collaborate (with the Commercial teams as necessary) in order to ensure (projected) product stock levels remain at the required levels to meet the planned number of orders
  • Work with the Logistics and Warehouse teams to ensure levels of consumables remain at the levels required to ensure that all confirmed orders can be packed as needed
  • Responsibility for all warehouse related (e.g. people/ consumables) budgets and cost control
  • Work constructively with third parties as and when needed in order to maintain an efficient production schedule

Experience & skills:

  • Demonstrable leadership and management experience in a comparable role within a similar organisation/ industry
  • Technology literate (across Apple products)
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Awareness of EXACT or a similar Logistics systems would be preferable.

Required competencies:

  • Strong leadership and communication experience and skills
  • Demonstrable, senior stakeholder management experience
  • Logical thinker with an ability to take decisions decisively (based on experience and/ or data)
  • At the same time, flexible in approach and determined to ensure challenging targets are set, then met, maintained and improved upon
  • Ability to influence all stakeholders effectively

  • Demonstrable, significant experience managing the stock held within the warehouse (maintaining a stock control system).
  • Managing stock delivered in and out of the business (both B2B and D2C)
  • You will live a commutable distance to Redhill, Surrey where the two Warehouses and Head Office are based.
  • 3+ years experience in a similar role.
  • Automated logistics background
  • MS Office Skills, especially WORD
  • Good WMS skills - my Client uses EXACT WMS but are confident this will easily be cross trained from any of the large WMS.
  • Good technical expertise in inventory management, warehouse management or warehouse operations.
