Location: Barking, East London
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 6:00pm
Salary: £11.50 per hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated Warehouse Goods In Operative to join our team at our facility in Barking, East London. This role involves receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming goods, with some heavy lifting required. This position is initially temporary with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Goods Receiving: Receive deliveries of goods, accurately checking against delivery notes and purchase orders.

• Quality Inspection: Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.

• Stock Handling: Safely and efficiently store incoming stock in designated warehouse locations.

• Data Entry: Update inventory records and databases to reflect incoming stock accurately.

• Order Picking: Assist with picking and packing orders based on customer requirements.

• Heavy Lifting: Handle and lift heavy items, adhering to health and safety guidelines.

• Inventory Management: Assist in regular stock takes and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels.

• General Warehouse Duties: Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or goods in role is preferred.

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely.

• Good attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods.

• Basic computer skills for data entry tasks.

• Strong work ethic and reliability.

• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

• Understanding of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting.

• Flexible attitude towards tasks and working hours.
