Vice President, European Financial Controller

Butler Rose is working with a well-known and large organisation based in Central London who have an exciting opportunity for a Vice President, European Financial Controller to join their prestigious organisation. This is a permanent and hybrid working opportunity and will be paying salary of £116-190,000 dependant on experience, with an additional bonus of up to 20%.

The Controllers role encompasses ensuring the effectiveness of robust controls and nurturing a culture of ongoing process enhancement. Moreover, this position aims to propel the finance department forward, fostering its evolution to better align with the evolving requirements of our business units.

Responsibilities include:
* Responsible for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of financial records within the Region/BU, ensuring compliance with both external regulations and corporate accounting standards.
* Offers counsel on financial decisions pertaining to business activities such as acquisitions and investments, offering accounting and regulatory guidance, and implementing policies and procedures.
* Addresses complex and emerging issues, crafting technical accounting documents when needed, and collaborating with Corporate Accounting as necessary.
* Establishes and enforces robust control measures, adhering to corporate directives and governance standards, while also encouraging managers to enhance controls where necessary.
* Takes the lead in M&A due diligence and integration efforts, focusing on accounting and control aspects.
* Oversees multiple teams, fostering a culture of support, guidance, and seamless collaboration.

Were looking for:
* Active Certified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant or equivalent is a must.
* Leadership skills managing large teams is a must (more than 10 reports, manage a large team spread in multiple locations)
* Financial Controlling experience
* US GAAP, IFRS or any related experience.
* Experience with large international organisation.
