An excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join a well-established company.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Location: Washington, Tyne & Wear NE38.

Salary: Starting from £32,000 Per Annum, Depending on Experience.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.20am until 5.00pm, Holiday allowance is 20 days plus Bank Holidays.

About The Company:

Established in 1982 and still under the management of the original owners, they offer a range of services for vehicles from MOTs and repairs to diagnostics and much more, so clients come to them for spare parts, repairs or servicing of all kinds from a team of highly skilled mechanics.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Technician / Mechanic to join their busy team.

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Vehicle Technician - Minimum Level 3 with Workshop Experience.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have at least 5 years workshop experience.
  • Competency in timing belts and timing chains.
  • Knowledge and ability to use diagnostics equipment to identify faults.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical problems on vehicles.
  • Inspect and test vehicles to identify any faults.
  • Perform routine maintenance on vehicles.
  • Keep accurate records of work carried out.
  • Replace parts as necessary.
  • Clean driving licence - shown at interview.
  • Must be able to work as a team.
