Central Recruitment are working with a Furniture Manufacturers in the Leyland area of Preston, recruiting for two experienced Upholsterers.

The role is working a day shift Monday - Friday with optional overtime during the week and weekend.

You will be required to upholster furniture to a high level. Main duties will include:

  • Covering frames with foam and fabric
  • Using a staple gun to secure the fabric in place
  • Using decorative techniques including piping and buttoning
  • Filling, padding and cushioning
  • Working towards targets
  • Quality checking the finished product
  • Working with leather and fabric
  • Using traditional and modern techniques

The basic hourly rate is £13.00 per hour with overtime after 40 hours paid at time and a half.

There is also a bonus scheme in place if you hit a base line target. This can be discussed at interview.

Working a day shift Monday - Thursday 7.30 - 4.30pm Friday 7..30 - 1.30pm. 40 hour basic week.

Candidates applying for this position must have previous upholstery experience, ideally from a furniture background.
