UK Sales Engineer - Warehouse Automation

Midlands (Home-based)

£50,000 - £60,000 +  Commission + Car/allowance

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a specialist automation company who are looking for a Sales Engineer to join their team here in the UK. 

Our client are an automated warehousing solutions provider with a decade of experience built on a spirit of innovation and commitment to improving our environment. They have been leading with purpose when it comes to eliminating excessive warehousing and saving companies valuable resources. 

The role of the Sales Engineer will require the knowledge, expertise and ability to be the technical expert lead in the sales process including pre-sales, analysis, presentation and solution development. In addition, this role will require the development of new and existing opportunities and in particular concentrating on relationships with both integrators or consultants.

UK Sales Engineer Role & Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the UK Team of Sales and Engineers, design and develop from concept, end to end solutions focusing on incorporating our groundbreaking and market leading automation
  • Be agile, dynamic, flexible and always prepared for a challenge
  • Understand and anticipate the opportunity both short and long term
  • Be full immersed in the sales cycle, identifying and adding value to the proposition and commitment to convert from lead to sales
  • Work independently, remotely and as a self-starter whilst always contributing as a valuable member of the UK, EU and Global team
  • Positively participate in Teams calls, F2F meetings, presentation, exhibitions and site visits as the technical and solutions lead..
  • Research and build reports detailing the cost benefit of the product portfolio and services, present these reports to internal and external customers.
  • Build strong relationships both internally and externally, with current and potential customers/partners.
  • As the UK based Technical Sales guru, maximising on your technical knowledge to enhance the customers experience, be the go-to for all technical (both Hardware and Software) related questions during the pre-sales process to deliver thorough and in-depth understanding regarding engineering, technical issues or integration in the work flow processes.
  • Work area will be predominantly in the UK.

UK Sales Engineer Skills and Experience

We are looking for a pro-active and self-driven colleague with the right balance in personal and content skills and who has the ability to synchronise with other cultures.

  • Master's degree in Technical Business Administration, Logistical Management or Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in supply chain/Material handling Equipment/ warehouse automation/ Automated packing solutions
  • Analytical skills to structure and solve logistics problems for warehousing automation
  • Self-starter, strong business acumen, ability to work remotely
  • Confidence and experience to interact and present with all levels
  • Willingness to travel over 50% of your time in the UK and occasionally outside the UK
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
