Triage Oncology Senior Staff Nurse working in a leading Oncology Private Hospital.

Contract: 37.5 hours per week (shift patterns of 12.5 hours over 7 days)

Salary is competitive, negotiable with an offer of a £5000 welcome bonus to join us.

Role and Responsibilities:

As an Onology experienced Nurse:

  • work as part of the Triage team providing 24 hour access to advice, support, care and treatment for our patients.
  • You will be part of a small team providing advice and care using the UKONS Telephone Triage Toolkit.
  • You will answer calls, assess patients and provide advice over the phone while also providing care for existing patients on the unit.
  • You will use your in-depth knowledge and expertise to identify potential emergencies and work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team to effectively manage patients during their treatment, including caring for patients who need an intervention following a triage call.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes:

  • Current Valid NMC registered Nurse
  • Post registration experience within haematology or oncology setting
  • Systemic Anti- Cancer Treatment passport/experience.
  • Clinical skills in venepuncture, cannulation, CVAD management and the administration of intravenous drugs.
  • Assessment and Triage skills
  • Exceptional Communication skills.
