Transport Planner

Our client is looking for an experienced transport planner to join their extremely busy logistics team in Southampton.

They seek a passionate, determined, and dedicated team player that can drive the group forward, an exciting opportunity for anyone with experience in transport.

The Role:

Due to the busy nature of the role a new opportunity has become available for an experienced Transport Planner to join the team, where you will report directly to the Operations Manager. The successful candidate will utilise the transport management software to ensure that the scheduling of vehicles is carried out effectively. Make sure the customer service requirements are met to the high standards and to the time scales set. You will need to work closely with other departments to achieve the most effective plan required for this role.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience of working within a Transport Planner role
  • Experience in Logistics / Shipping
  • Commercial awareness
  • Team player / able to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills
