Trainee Traffic Operator – Glengormley – £24,000

The company is a privately-owned business, part of the Ballyvesey Holdings Group that has grown significantly in recent years, now providing a diverse range of Logistics Services throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland

The successful candidate will be trained on liasing directly between Customers and the Traffic and Sales departments to ensure that enquiries and bookings are managed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

• Liaising with drivers within a busy environment
• Ensure routes run on time
• Report any issues to the Planner /Management
• Dealing with drivers’ hours
• Respond promptly to Customers enquiries
• Prioritise workload and assist routing and planning of vehicles to ensure all deliveries/collections meet customers' expectations.

The Person:

• This role is ideally suited to an individual who is looking for a new challenge in the transport industry.
• Essentially like any traffic-role the overall objective is to ensure that the customer receives a first-class service in a cost-effective way.
• Disciplined and methodical approach and able to keep up with changing priorities.
• Demonstrate a keen eye for detail whilst working under pressure.
• Computer literate
