Trainee Legal Cashier
A Plymouth based award-winning firm founded in 1914 providing legal expertise services to both businesses and individuals is currently looking for a Trainee Legal Cashier Training towards a Job Role which will involve the following main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all relevant rules and regulations, maintaining compliance with office policies and procedures.
- Perform client account bank reconciliations, handle disbursements, and manage drafts and completions.
- Process client Bacs payments and manage banking activities.
- Deal with client account receipts, cheque requests, and other client postings, including write-offs for abortive transactions.
- Handle allocations, telegraphic transfers and maintain accurate filing systems.
- Archiving matters with zero balances for all Departments;
- Reconciliation of client matters for both office and client ledgers;
- Office and client account banking and processing;
- Process client and office account payments by BACS/CHAPS;
- IT literate and willing to learn new processes.
- Friendly and approachable
- Enjoys working as part of a team, helping and supporting others.
- Has the ability to work calmly, even under pressure.
- Takes personal pride in their work and responsibility for issues.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word
- Minimum GCSE level qualification – Level 5 in Maths
- Excellent organisational skills
- Focuses on detail, methodical, organised, systematic.
- Ability to prioritise workload and deal with interruptions.
