A really exciting, entry level, opportunity has become available within a growing business based in Solihull for a Trainee Finance Assistant! This role here will be working as part of the Accounts Payable team, you will be responsible for a range of exciting tasks such as processing through invoices, completing reconciliations including investigating any issues that arise with this, working closely with senior members of this LARGE finance team to provide insight to upcoming costs, as well as resolving queries and investigating new suppliers to ensure they are set up correctly, and a lot more!

At this stage, this role is a temporary position, however it will be for roughly 12-18 months. What is great is that during this time, there will be countless opportunities for this position to convert to permanent so you have a chance to get started with a business you can join long term! This role is amazing as they are not asking for experience, the most important thing to them is someone who is eager to learn and they would rather train the right person, then hire experience. As a result, we are looking for graduates with a relevant degree, or people studying, or recently completed a similar course (AAT, etc.), if this sounds like you, then please keep reading!

Skills required:
  • Have relevant studies such as a degree (Accounting & Finance, Economics, Mathematics, etc.) or other relevant studies (AAT, etc.). This can be graduated or currently studying, you just need to be available for full time work!
  • Be an organised, detail focused, person who will stay on top of incoming invoices and their relevant payment runs.
  • Have strong communication skills - the ability to make positive client relationships is essential.
  • Be confident on excel as there is a large aspect of this role which involves managing reports on excel and presenting these reports to management.
