Are you a motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician with ambition to grow into a leadership role? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, high-hazard environment?

Our well established Oil and Gas Client has a newly created dual function role within a top-tier COMAH site in Campbeltown, Argyll & Bute, Scotland.

Initially this is a hands-on maintenance role with technical administration responsibilities. The role supports the maintenance function, while developing both engineering based academic studies and engineering supervisory skills in order to take up the role of Depot Engineer.

Job Title - Trainee Depot Engineer
Location - Campbeltown
Type - Permanent, Monday - Friday - 37 hours per week
Salary - £30-£40K - 30 days holiday, plus bank holidays and up to 15% pension contribution

The Role:
Your responsibilities will combine hands-on maintenance:

  • Promote process safety leadership as the core culture.
  • Contribute to the lead and direction of the Depot Maintenance Team.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain plant equipment to maximise availability of fuel delivery.
  • Ensure estate management is up to the required standards.
  • Be willing to work overtime and be part of an on-call team.
  • Carry out planned maintenance activities and defect rectification efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with the Planned Preventative Maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance activity and asset technical records.
  • Developing your engineering knowledge and supervisory skills
  • Contributing to and directing the Depot Maintenance Team
  • Promoting a positive safety culture


This is a fast-track opportunity for the right candidate! In approximately 18 months, you could be the Depot Engineer, ensuring our clients standards are upheld across all assets.

Requirements:

  • Experienced Mechanical Maintenance Technician with process plant expertise
  • Minimum ONC qualification in engineering or relevant craft/technician discipline
  • Demonstrated first-line management potential and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full (preferably clean) driving licence
