I am representing a global market leader in insurance, a household name in the financial services arena offering a comprehensive range of products to a diverse broker panel. Currently in growth mode and looking to undertake further expansion, our client remains focused on quality, with a mission statement aimed at providing the highest standard of service possible to customers.

Assuming a key appointment in the regional underwriting structure, your remit will include underwriting Property, Liability and Combined risks within the mid-corporate arena, as well as mentoring and coaching less experienced colleagues. You will be trading focused with previous experience building and managing relationships with both brokers and customers, identifying opportunities for growth of the account whilst retaining quality business.

Essentially you will be an experienced Commercial Underwriter with a track record in underwriting for profit. To complement your robust technical knowledge, you must be able to demonstrate a strong trading mentality, excellent communication skills and the ability to undertake negotiations with internal and external stakeholders, including key decision makers within broking partners. The ACII qualification, or progress towards it would be advantageous to your application.

My client offers a highly competitive basic salary along with a wide and attractive benefits package. Flexible working is encouraged, and due to their presence in the regional market and plans for growth, unrivalled opportunities for career development are available to appropriate individuals.
