Our client are a leading manufacturer providing specialist solutions to a variety of industries such as aerospace, power generation, rail and oil and gas industries. They are looking for an experienced Toolmaker to join the team on a full time, or part time 3 – 4 days per week basis.

Job Summary:
As a Toolmaker you will play a crucial role in the production process by designing, fabricating, and maintaining various tools and molds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in toolmaking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. You will contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing processes while maintaining a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:
Tool Design and Fabrication:
Design and build precision tools, jigs, and fixtures based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Utilize manual and CNC machining tools to fabricate high-quality molds and tools.

Tool Maintenance:
Inspect and maintain existing tools to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Troubleshoot and repair tools as needed to minimize downtime in production.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 of experience as a Toolmaker or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of manual and CNC machining processes.
  • Familiarity with a variety of materials used in toolmaking, such as metals and plastics.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Team player with the ability to work independently when required

  • Working hours: 39 per week, 8:00 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday, 8:00 to 15:45 on Friday
