As Testing Engineer you will be responsible for carrying out EICRs and remedial works on a trophy retail contract.

Our client are seeing a skilled and experienced, qualified Electrician to carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports in compliance with current regs and standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) on a national retail (commercial) contract.
  2. Inspect electrical installations to identify potential hazards, defects, or non-compliance with regulations.
  3. Conduct comprehensive electrical testing using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  4. Document findings accurately and clearly in EICR reports, including recommendations for remedial actions.
  5. Occasional fault finding and maintenance.
  6. Maintain accurate records of inspections, reports, and certifications.
  7. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times to ensure the safety of yourself and others.
  8. Provide excellent customer service and uphold the reputation of the company.

Qualifications:

Knowledge of relevant electrical regulations and standards, such as the Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).

Ability to use electrical testing equipment effectively.

Valid electrical qualifications and certifications, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.

Full driving license and willingness to travel to various job sites (nationally).

Additional certifications in specific areas of electrical work, such as PAT testing or fire alarm installation.
